I have never heard of Iron Butterfly. I mistakenly thought it was the same as Iron Maiden. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vidais their second and most famous album. This album is one of the top selling album in history. It sold more than 30 million copies. I guess psychedelic music was really popular. It was the Michael Jackson of 1968.
First off, I do not like the singer’s voice. It is very generic. Secondly, the last song is over 17 minutes. Why? Is it necessary? It just goes on and on and on and on……. The last song is a bit repetitive.
I am shocked at how popular this album was at that time period. The music is not terrible at all. I feel the lyrics are too simplistic and the lead singer although 17 years old is too bland. 5/10.
