#211 Bee Gees – Trafalgar

Trafalgar is the ninth album from the Bee Gees. This is a romantic album from the Brothers Gibb. I do not think anyone else can write as good ballads as Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. When I listen to the Bee Gees I feel sad and happy at the same time. I feel sad for all that I did not have as a child and the torture I lived through, but I feel happy that the Bee Gees and other artist of the time were there to comfort me a little.

One of my most favourite songs ever is “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart“. I have been asking the questions from this song since I first heard it. I am still asking,

How can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart
And let me live again
I think it is one of the most beautifully written songs ever. It is such a sad song.

The Greatest Man in the World“, “It’s Just the Way“, “Trafalgar“, “Lion in Winter” and “Walking Back to Waterloo” are some of the best songs on the album. I think this is a solid album for the Bee Gees. It is different than their previous entry on the list and different than their previous albums that I have heard. I also know that this is the last one on the list, which is a huge mistake. I think Saturday Night Fever soundtrack should be on the list and maybe Main Course. 9.5/10.
