#233 Fela Ransome-Kuti and The Africa ’70 with Ginger Baker – Live

Fela Ransome-Kuti and The Africa ’70 with Ginger Baker‘s Live is an album I have never heard of, but I have not listened to African music, except what ever has been on this list. En general, I do not like African music. Afrobeat is a fusion of jazz, funk and West African musical styles. This type of music was something new at the time it was created by Kuti.

I cannot differentiate the songs because all of them are too long. They go on and on. But I think the album is good. I think Baker’s drumming brings the album to another level that any other drummer might not have reached. His drumming is entertaining.

It is a solid album even thought the songs are too long and it is live. If the songs were shorter, then I would give it a higher score. 8/10.
