Bob Marley and the Wailers‘s Catch A Fire is not something that I thought I would like. Reggae songs all start sounding very similar to each other. It has that up and down beat all throughout the song.
My favourite songs are “Slave Driver“, “Stir It Up“, “Stop That Train“, and “Baby We’ve Got a Date (Rock It Baby)“.
I have heard “Stir It Up” before and I liked it. Many years ago, I had a friend who loved to listen to reggae, especially Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. It was not my preferred genre, but there have been songs during the different waves of it that I have liked. It is better than country music.
I really enjoyed this album much more than I anticipated. I thought I would hate it. All the songs are listenable. Most of the songs are great. A few are amazingly awesome. 9/10.
