Honky Tonk Heroes is considered the first album in the sub-genre of country music called outlaw country. Waylon Jennings is not an artist I would listen to unless a gun was at my head.
I have to admit after listening to the album from Jennings I still hate country, but his voice is not as horrible as most country artist. I still would not listen to it on my own accord. The music has that twang that I hate in country music. The drawl of the vocals from country musicians drives me crazy.
I would never listen to this again, but I can see that people like it. I cannot judge their horrible musical taste. It is like musicals for me. How do people listen to musicals? I hate them. I hate to overly exaggerated lyrics. 4/10.
