#293 Stevie Wonder – Innervisions

Innervisions is the second album from Stevie Wonder. If you have read the previous entries, then you know I do not like his voice or his music. His voice is too screechy like an owl that is starving or one that was hit by a car and has not died yet. Yes, a wounded owl is what I hear.

This album is a little different Thant the previous one. It has a few songs where Wonder does not suck. My favourite songs are “Living for the City“, “Golden Lady“, and “Higher Ground“, although I prefer the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ version.

I am still not a fan of Wonder, but this is a step in the right direction. The album sounds mostly dated to my untrained ear. Some of the sounds are really 70s, perhaps too 70s for anyone to really listen to it more than once in a sitting. He has definitely had some influence on music, but I am not sure why. 6/10.
