Here Come the Warm Jets is Brian Eno’s debut solo album. Eno was the moniker he used for his first three albums only. Eno had left Roxy Music in 1973 because of differences with Bryan Ferry. I expect this album to have a Roxy Music sound-ish.
“Needles in the Camel’s Eye” proves me right in that it should be similar to Roxy Music. It is really similar, but the music is more experimental as I would expect from Eno.
“The Paw Paw Negro Blowtorch” is more experimental, than the opening song. It is pretty awesome. I am wishing I had heard this album before. It is sounding epic.
Other songs to consider listening to: the whole album.
“On Some Faraway Beach” might be my favourite song.
This is an easy to listen to album. I really found it fit like a new glove. Nice and tight like the musicianship on this album. I cannot wait to hear more of Eno that I never heard before. I have checked and he has got at least two more album in the 70s on this list. 10/10.
