#305 Stevie Wonder – Fullfillingness’ First Finale

If I ever thought an artist was overrated it was Stevie Wonder. Sure, there are others such as, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Gaga and Beyonce, but Wonder is thought of as great by people who matter. Those who think those four females are great do not matter. Fullfillingness’ First Finale is Wonder’s most somber album I have heard on the list. I read he was in a car accident the year prior to recording it.

Almost all of the songs are kind of depressing, but some of them are depressing and sound horrible such as “Heaven Is 10 Zillion Light Years Away“.

In “Boogie On Reggae Woman” his accent is indistinguishable. I had no idea what he was saying, especially the title of the song.

You Haven’t Done Nothin’ is one of his best songs. The Jackson 5 sing the in background.

I think the music sounds very dated for some reason. A lot of the albums on this list sound timeless, but this one does not at all. It is good that famous people like George Michael have remade his songs like “They Won’t Go When I Go“. Michael’s version is much better. I think George Michael has a deep pain that his voice carry easily.

This album is not as horrible as I expected it to be. Besides sounding dated and sparse musically it is a bit of a downer. Maybe that is what makes it better than his other albums. 6.5/10.
