On the Beach is another entry from the great Neil Young. He does not have the best voice in the world, but he knows that and he knows how to write songs that are relatable by the above average music consumer. This album has been accused of being the most depressing of the decade, but it has also been called the end of depressing. Young would sound depressed singing “Happy Birthday”.
All the songs are great. I will not write out a list. I like every song on the album, but I had to choose a song I like the least it would be “Vampire Blues”.
This is an album worth buying. I had no idea I would become a fan of Neil Young when I started on this journey. He puts a lot of feelings into his music. 10/10.
