Another Green World is another album from the ambient master Eno. I hope this is a great album. I am ready for some chilling music.
Oh no! My hopes were dashed because of the signing. Why is he singing? He cannot sing. Even the music is a bit dated sounding. Some of it is really good, but most of it is kind of boring. I had such high hopes for 1975. Well, I know Eno improves through the years. He does some great stuff later in his career. I will give him a pass for this album.
The other problem I have with it is that the songs stop completely and do not blend into the next one. That would have solved some of the issues. The breaks between songs is too long.
Most of my favourite songs are less than 2 minutes, except for “Becalmed” and “Zawinul/Lava“. Both are beautiful. It appears he left the best towards the end of the album. 7.5/10.
