Few artists have endured the years, but Aerosmith has and so has their third album Toys in the Attic. I know two songs from this album before I even listened to it. I wonder if that was the only good thing about it.
“Toys in the Attic” is the first song on the album. I have never heard it, but it sounds okay, I guess. The music is good, but the words are muffled. The music has changed a lot since the beginning of the challenge. This is faster rock. Steven Tyler might look similar to Mick Jagger but his singing is a lot different.
I think “Walk This Way” is good, but maybe overplayed thanks to Run DMC. I did not like their collaboration. It did give Aerosmith a new fan base.
The best song is definitely “Sweet Emotion“. I love the way it begins. Tyler and Joe Perry were on fire in this song.
I think the other songs do not hold a candle to the two major hits. I think they are just alright with me. 7/10.
