#349 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers – Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers debut album is one I have not heard in its entirety. I have only heard two songs on the radio. I am sad that I had never seen them in concert before Tom Petty passed. He was a great musician and singer. It is odd that the editors of book liked this album over their third album, which is highly liked.

Rockin’ Around (With You)” is a great way to start an album. It is really catchy. I wish I had heard it before.

The one song I have heard a lot is “Breakdown“. I really like this song. It is awesome.

Other songs worth listening to are “Hometown Blues“, “The Wild One, Forever“, “Anything That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll“, “Strangered in the Night“, and “Mystery Man“.

American Girl” is very popular, but I do not find it special at all. Sort of like American girls.

I think this is a great album from Petty, but I am not sure it is the best from him and the band. Unfortunately, it is the only one listed. I will listen to the other ones and decide if something else is better. One day I will make my own list. This is rock and roll. 9.5/10.
