Rush is a band I heard during my teen years from a few friends that really liked them. I think one of the albums they liked was 2112. This was Rush’s hard rock phase, but I know their progressive phase better, which begins with the next album. I am curious to see if I recognise any of these songs.
The songs that stuck out the most were “Lessons” and “Something for Nothing“. I have do remember any of the songs from this album at all.
This is an album that should be played in it entirety, especially since Side one is one long song. I can imagine it was hard to get a single to help with the sales of the album. It seems that this album sold well on its own with a hit song. It is a good album, but I think they are better as a progressive rock band. 7/10.
