The Only Ones were an English band that released three albums and broke up. They are labeled as punk and power pop. Their debut album The Only Ones received a lot of attention from critics. I have never heard of them.
This is one of those albums that I cannot decide how I feel about it. It plays in the background so easily as I drift away to my other world where I do not exist as I am today. I think since I cannot decide if I like it, then it means it is mediocre, although I am remind of Jarrod Gorbel of The Honorary Title in the first song “The Whole of the Law“. Gobel’s voice is not as whiny as the lead singer of this band. Unfortunately none of the songs grabbed me enough to become a favourite. 6/10.
