#402 The Jam – All Mod Cons

The Jam is a band that I have heard of, but I have not heard their music. I know of their singer-songwriter Paul Weller from 80s band The Style Council. I have never heard their album All Mod Cons.

The summation of The Jam from Weller is correct. “The Jam are The Jam and they play Jam music…” All their songs sound like them. After one listening, I did not feel like I had to have this album. It is not horrible at all, but it does not have that hook that grabbed me. There are a couple of the songs that stuck out a little, but I would not go crazy over any of them. You can find them on my Spotify list of 1001 Albums Best Songs 1975-1994. 6/10.

…and i hate writing about myself. It feels awkward.
