#429 The Crusaders – Street Life

I thought jazz was over in the list of 1001 Albums…, but I was wrong. The Crusaders‘ Street Life made the list, but I have never heard of them at all. I wonder if anyone has heard of them. I looked at their bio for this album and it seems that they have been used in films and in the video game Grand Theft Auto V.

I am not really a fan of this type of disco jazz. The title song is the worst. The female singer repeats the words Street Life about eighty-six times.

I was really bored listening to this album of overly long songs. It all sounds the same to me. I would skip this album if I was you, unless you really love jazz and funk instrumentals. 2/10.
