The Damned released their third album Machine Gun Etiquette in 1979. They were one of the first punk bands to release a single, an album and tour the USA. This album incorporated psychedelic rock and gothic rock.
“I Just Can’t Be Happy Today” is the truest words on an album ever. This is my song almost ever day. It was the only song that kind of spoke to me, yet I did not add it to my list.
Honestly, I did not like The Damned. I like punk music, but this seems to be the worst of it. I did not feel the heart of punk in it. I did not want to dance or think or anything. I was bored. I think the vocals were part of the problem. The music seemed to be the same throughout. It was a bit better the second listening. 5/10.
