Killing Joke self-titled debut album has been cited by many artists, such as Dave Grohl, Nirvana, Tool, Soundgarden, and Metallica as an inspiration to their sound. I have never heard their music. This is the first industrial rock band on the list.
The whole album is really good, except for “Wardance”. I do not like the vocals.
Overall, I like this album. It does remind me of later bands that I listened to, such as Nine Inch Nails and Einstürzende Neubauten. I have seen both bands in concert so it can be assumed that I like industrial rock. I like that it incorporates rock with dance. I am surprise I have never heard this album before today. 8.9/10.
