#507 Orange Juice – Rip It Up

Orange Juice is one of those bands that I have never heard of from the 80s. They were a Scottish post-punk band. The band departed ways in 1985. Rip It Up is their second album. Worst band name ever.

The only songs I kind of like were the title song and “Tenterhook“. I think their first album might be better. I heard a couple of the songs and I like them a little better.

Overall, I like the vocals and the music, but not together. Something about it does not move me. I really like the lead singer Edwyn Collins’ voice. Maybe it is not catchy enough.  I am not sure how or why this album is in the list of 1001 Albums… 6/10.

…and i hate writing about myself. It feels awkward.
