Suzanne Vega self-titled debut album was produced by Lenny Kaye of the Patti Smith Group and released in 1985. I am skeptical of this album on the list. I remember her one hit “Tom’s Diner” and I did not like it until the British group DNA remixed it.
The best part of this album is that it is short. The music is not terrible, but Vega’s vocals are like listening to someone telling a short story that never ends.
If you are going to include bland music, then at least find someone interesting. I think this album was so boring. The only thing that could make it worse would be Joan Baez doing the vocals. 2/10.
