Slayer is definitely not a band I have heard. I have had my fill of thrash metal. Unfortunately, there are three albums in 1986 and one in 1987: Megadeth’s Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying?, Metallica’s Master of Puppets, Slayer’s Reign in Blood and Anthrax’s 1987 album Among the Living, that are influential in this genre and all of them are on the list of 1001 Albums…
Wow! I really hated this album. Lead singer Tom Araya’s vocals are hard to listen to for any amount of time. He was in the news a couple years ago for supporting Trump. He called Trump critics ‘a nation of crybabies’. I felt like a crybaby after listening to this band.
On the good side: the songs are short, perhaps not short enough and there were spurts of seconds where I think the music was okay. Overall, it sucked and I received a headache from it. 2/10.
