Bad Brains is a band I have definitely never heard. I Against I is their third album of hardcore punk music. A piece of interesting trivia is that their second album was produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars. He died this past weekend at the time I am writing this post and not the time you are reading it.
After listening to this album, my only thought was “meh!”. I did not find this to be anything special for me. I think the best songs are “She’s Calling You” and “Sacred Love“.
I do not see how this is hardcore punk. It is not the worst thing on the list, but it is not the best either. I think it got better in the second half of the album. 5/10.
