#609 U2 – The Joshua Tree

U2‘s The Joshua Tree made them superstars around the world. In my eyes, they were already one of the best bands ever. I am surprised and sad that their album The Unforgettable Fire is not on this retarded list of 1001 Albums… How can you excluded one of the best albums ever? Yes, I know this album is incredible because I listened to it a million times before.

This album is filled with so many great songs. One of my favourite songs is “Red Hill Mining Town“. It makes me so sad. The other song that tugs at my heart is one of their biggest hits “With or Without You“.

I could write the other songs that are great, but that would require me writing all the other songs on the album. I think my least favourite song is “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For“, but probably because it was overplayed. Yet, I still think it is a great song. I can relate to the lyrics. I have not found what I have been looking for my whole life. I will never find it.

Overall, I am a huge fan of this album. How could you think otherwise. This album was one of the best of 1987 and one of the best albums ever. I wish i could see them in concert once. I almost did twice, but both times I was not able to. 10/10.
