Mudhoney is a band I know of only by name. Superfuzz Bigmuff was their first EP. I am not sure how this made its way into the list because it is not a full album, but the editor of this crappy book seems to be making the rules up as he goes.
Grunge as with many genres of music has the person or band that really sort of starts it, then there is the person or band that makes it known to the mass public. Mudhoney seems to be the former. They never made it big, even after Nirvana opened the flood doors on the Seattle music scene. I am not sure what is missing, maybe their lead singer did not have Kurt Cobain‘s charisma. Perhaps, their songs are not as catchy. I think it might be many reasons. I listened to the EP a few times. I liked it, but it never really grabbed me the way Nirvana did. I think the EP is good and deserves it place on the list. According to Wikipedia, Kurt Cobain listed the EP in his top fifty albums of all time. That should be reason enough to give it a go.
If you like the Seattle music scene and grunge, then I would give it a listen. I think all the songs are equal in sound and quality. 7.5/10.
P.S. I had no idea what the title was referring to until I Googled it for the cover photo. Skip it.
