#621 Cowboy Junkies – The Trinity Sessions

Cowboy Junkies were a band that I really liked in 1988 and a few years after. I had a couple of their albums including The Trinity Sessions. Margo Timmins has a beautiful voice. Speaking of beautiful vocals, where is Natalie Merchant on this list? How can she not be on here with her solo albums or one of 10,000 Maniacs albums.

This album has quite a few beautiful songs. My favourites are “Sweet Jane,  “Blue Moon Revisited (Song for Elvis)“, “Misguided Angel“, the haunting and familiar sound of “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry“, and “To Love Is to Bury“.

This album is amazing. Luckily, it teeters on country music, but pulls back before crossing the cat line of county music atrocity. This is a gorgeous album. Her voice is beautiful and the band is incredible. I felt sadly at rest. 10/10.
