Coldcut‘s What’s That Noise? was released in 1989. I am not sure why it is listed in the book. It does not seem to be highly regarded anywhere. It is an electronica and house album featuring artists, such as Lisa Stansfield, Queen Latifah and Yazz. The album can be found on YouTube. It is not on Spotify.
Two songs “People Hold On” and “My Telephone” features Lisa Stansfield. She had quite a few hits in the late 80s and early 90s. I think those are the best songs on the album.
Also check out “Which Doctor?” is smooth too.
The English duo had their biggest chart success in the U.S.A. with “Doctorin’ the House” featuring Yazz & The Plastic Population. I did not care for it. Even though they were pioneers in electronic I found them a bit boring. 5/10.
