#692 Jah Wobble’s Invaders of the Heart – Rising Above Bedlam

I have heard of Jah Wobble’s Invaders of the Heart, but I had never heard his music nor his second album Rising Above Bedlam. I had no idea he was not a rapper. I think his name threw me off. He was in Public Image Ltd (PiL).

I think have heard “Visions of You” featuring Sinéad O’Connor. It was so odd that this song was so familiar. I probably heard it a few times, then it disappeared. I think it is a beautiful song. I think I would skip “Wonderful World”. It did not grab me.

This album has many musical influences from throughout the world it. I was surprised that I actually enjoyed it, especially that it contains Middle Eastern influences, which is not a favourite style of mine. I think this is a great album to put on, open a bottle of vin and enjoy the journey. 10/10.
