#695 Mudhoney – Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge

Mudhoney‘s Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge was released in 1991. It was their second studio album and their second time on the list of 1001 Albums… I like grunge, but just like every other genre it has its good and its bad. Nirvana is the good part of grunge and Pearl Jam is the and part of it. I have never heard a good Pearl Jam song. I digress. I am not sure if I like Mudhoney because I only heard one EP. I knew someone in the later 90s that like them a lot, but we did not have musical taste in common at all so I ignored the band.

After listening, I can say that I did not hate the music, but I did not like the whiny vocals. It is really too whiny, especially on the song “Broken Hands”, which was way too long. I did not save any of the songs from this album. I think the best song was probably “Don’t Fade IV“. It was not nearly as good as the EP I listened to earlier. 5/10.
