#696 Public Enemy – Apocalypse 91… The Enemy Strikes Black

Public Enemy‘s Apocalypse 91… The Enemy Strikes Black was released in 1991. It has received critical acclaim, but some critics thought it faltered in the second half. Personally, I think everyone knows how I feel about rap and hip hop.

I hated the first song “Lost at Birth” because of the siren sound. I droned on and on. I was about to go mad.

Why do people like this crap? These guys cannot sing. Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Otis Redding, Smokey Robinson and many others from Motown could sing. All the rappers do is shout anger at policemen, speak filthy words and talk down to women. Oh, they also say their names a lot. I hated this album. Joan Baez hate. 0/10.
