Liz Phair is one of the artist I am almost sure I will not like. I have never heard her debut album Exile in Guyville, which was her biggest success, especially critically. Her sales have gone progressively downhill. I think she is working on something new for her few remains fans.
I hated this album. Her voice on the first song “6’1“ sounded like a goat, but not in the good way. It sounded like a goat being raped by a hippopotamus. I hated every song after it. Maybe some of them were less goat-like, but only those near death. Is this where Shaira took vocals lessons from? It was quite painful to listen to, but maybe you will feel differently. 2/10.
