Orbital‘s second album known as Orbital, Orbital 2 and the Brown Album is a more experimental extension of their debut album Orbital. I think I owned both of their albums. I was definitely hitting a techno dance phase around this time. I have always liked some kind of dance music. It is freeing to dance, even though i dance by myself.
My favourite song is “Halcyon + On + On“. It features a vocal sample by Kirsty Hawkshaw from “It’s a Fine Day” by Opus III.
There really isn’t much to say about this album. If you like techno, then you will love Orbital 2. I think the album has aged fine. It might be for the fact that it was ahead of its time in 1993. The music is spacey and danceable. 9/10.
