#766 Morrissey – Vauxhall and I

Morrissey is one of my favourite artist in a band and solo. He really was unique for me. Sure, we had other unique artists like Boy George and Cyndi Lauper, but they were more unique visually. I remember Morrissey’s fourth album Vauxhall and I the best. It came out at a time I really needed it. 1994 was a terribly hard year for me.

This is an easy album to review because I have listened to it many times over the years. My favourite song? All of them. I do not skip any of them. I do lean more toward the hit song “The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get” as one that I recommend if you want a quick sample. Also try out “Spring-Heeled Jim” and “Used to Be a Sweet Boy“. The latter is a sad song that feel like a biographical song written for me. 10/10.
