#813 Tortoise – Millions Now Living Will Never Die

Tortoise is a band that most people will have not have heard of. I have not heard of them and I like post-rock. I am a huge fan of Talk Talk who are considered the godfathers of the genre. Millions Now Living Will Never Die was their second studio album.

Trivia: The album’s title is a reference to a phrase used in the Jehovah’s Witness faith in the 1920s. We all know they were wrong.

I love this album. The whole thing. I was able to put it on and enjoy it. It is extremely sparse sound. It borrows from many genres such as ambient and krautrock. It really is something that one must experience on their own. I accidentally listened to another album of theirs and it was great too. 9.5/10.
