Casanova is the fourth album from The Divine Comedy, a band out of Northern Ireland. I have never heard of them, but I do like chamber pop, orchestral pop and Britpop. Neil Hannon is the band’s multi-instrumentalist and sole constant member.
After listening to the whole album, I am not sure what I think or feel about this album. It was extremely theatrical in music and vocals. I liked the songs in the first half more than the second half. I kind of recommend it to people who are overly dramatic. I sort of liked it. I am surprised that no one has turned it into a broadway play or a film. I am curious to hear their other albums. It reminds me of Brendon Urie of Panic! At the Disco a bit. 6.5/10.
