If there was ever an artist that I have never wanted to hear, it was Marilyn Manson. Antichrist Superstar was the second studio album from the band. It was produced by Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nail, Dave Ogilvie from Skinny Puppy and a couple other people. Both of those are bands that I listened to in the late 80s and early 90s.
Surprising thing about this album, which is really not that surprising is that it sounds like NIN. If only Brian Hugh Warner aka Marilyn Manson multi-talented lead singer was not singing. I am not a fan of his vocals. I really like the music, for example on the song “Antichrist Superstar” and “Minute of Decay”. The latter is a bit sexy sounding.
Overall, I would never listen to this album again. I prefer the superior music and vocals of NIN. I did not save one of these songs for my list. 5/10.
