#841 The Chemical Brothers – Dig Your Own Hole

I am familiar with The Chemical Brothers. Even though I was not listening to a lot of music in 1997, I still heard them. Their second album Dig Your Own Hole brought them more fans. By the way, they are not brothers.

The duo knows how to kick off an album. The first song “Block Rockin’ Beats” is giving me energy. It should make you want to dance.

I want to say that I love the whole album, unfortunately I cannot say that. It became too monotonous for me. There are a few gems that stood out, but barely. Listen to “It Doesn’t Matter”, “Dig Your Own Hole”, and “Lost in the K-Hole”.

Overall, it is great if you absolutely love all electronica and big beat. I felt it need more variety. 6/10.
