#862 Manu Chao – Clandestino

Manu Chao debut album Clandestino has little chance of my liking it. I am not a fan of Spanish music. It doesn’t do anything for me.

As soon as I heard “Bongo Bong” I recognised the music. It is in English. Then I heard “Je ne t’aime plus” and I realised that I knew the song. I remember listening to this in France when I lived there. Lyon was a great city, but I wish I had spent more time in some other areas.

I kind of like the album more than I expected. I was thinking it would get an extremely low score, but after listening to it I recognise Chao and I could not help but feeling a bit nostalgic for my time in France. This must be the first album with Spanish that I have enjoyed. I had one of his albums, but it was all French. 6/10.
