Hole is a band that I really enjoyed in the early 90s. Unfortunately, their third album Celebrity Skin was released during my time away from music so i completely missed it. The album was a critical and commercial success for the band. Courtney Love proved that she could make great music without Kurt Cobain.
My favourite songs are “Hit So Hard”, “Malibu”, “Dying”, “Celebrity Skin”, “Reasons to Be Beautiful”, and “Boys on the Radio“. Actually, I like every song on this album.
Overall, I like this album almost as much or the same as their previous album Live Through This. Celebrity Skin is a bit more polished than its predecessor. I recommend it if you like alternative rock or power pop. Personally, it is Love’s voice that I like. She is engaging as a singer. 10/10.
