#878 Khaled – Kenza

I have no idea who Khaled is or was. There seems to be a few rappers/singers with a name similar to this, but I am not sure if it is the same person. The album Kenza is named after Khaled’s second daughter. The genre is Raï, which is Algerian folk music. I will probably hate it.

This type of music is irritating to me. I hated Amar’s vocals on “El Harba Wine”. It sounds like she sucked helium during the whole song. What is even worse, if you thought that was possible, was “Imagine” featuring Noa. I did not think John Lennon‘s song could be worse.

There was one sort of decent song “C’est la nuit”.

I think someone paid the editor of 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die to include this album on the list. The both women made it painful to listen to. If they would have been excluded I might have given it a 4.  2/10.
