#884 Incubus – Make Yourself

Incubus has been described as hard rock, nu-metal, and many other genres. I have never heard any of their music. I cannot wait for the 2000s because I know much more of the music. Make Yourself was their third studio album.

The first song “Privilege” does not sound as hard as I thought it would sound. That is a word that is thrown around a lot lately. I do not care what people say, I never felt I had a white privilege. I have had to work hard to get anything I needed in my life. I have been homeless, but thanks to God and some friends I was able to find help.

I think I like “I Miss You” the best. I do miss you. I will always miss you. You know who you are. You are the ones I love who left me. You were my friend, then you were no longer.

Honestly, I did not hate this album at all, but I was not sold on it either. I thought the music was okay, but a bit generic. I liked lead singer Brandon Boyd vocals. I think the catchy factor was missing. I am curious to try some of their other albums now. 6.5/10.
