Britney Spears? Oh good lawd. How did Britney make the list? Honestly, I am so confused. Yes, it was removed when the book was updated, but it is like all those actors apologising for something they said years ago. It is too late. (I do not believe that it is too late. I am only repeating what the Cancel Culture states every time someone apologises for be homophobic or racist tweet/remark.) …Baby One More Time was Spears debut album. It is one of the best selling albums of all-time. I have never heard it.
I will not be adding any of these songs to my list. I do not hate them. I just do care enough to add them. These songs were created for teens, girls, and gay boys. Honestly, this album is not terrible. It is what it is; a bag of fluffy pink cotton candy songs with a side of sugar crash to balance it out. 5/10.
How did Britney make the list? Easy. Britney brought her music to life in ways that other artists couldn’t. She is an incredible dancer and puts on amazing shows, created concepts for music videos that are still heavily talked about to this day, and she’s proven that she’s more than just a pop singer by being incredibly down to earth and relatable. It’s no wonder why people still talk about her performances and music videos to this day, and that Rolling Stone even named “…Baby One More Time” as the number one best debut singe of all time. She knows how to stick in peoples minds and I can assure you that there are plenty of other people besides “teens, girls, and gay boys” who adore Britney Spears.
