Californication was Red Hot Chili Peppers return to the top. It is their best selling album. The album was also known for the return of John Frusciante. I know this album well. I really liked it.
My favourites songs are “Parallel Universe”, “Scar Tissue“, “Otherside“, “Californication”, “This Velvet Glove”, and “Road Trippin'”.
“Otherside” and “Scar Tissue” deal with addiction, especially to heroin. I like the lyrics.

Overall, Californication is a great album. I like this softer side to the band. It feels real and shades the music in other colours. I listed some of my favourite songs above, but I should clarify that the whole album is amazing. 10/10.

Good album! When I was in 7th grade I had a copy of One Hot Minute that was confiscated by the teacher.
