Badly Drawn Boy is an artist I have listened to in the past. I have listened to his debut album The Hour of Bewilderbeast a few times. He scored the soundtrack for the film About A Boy, which is another album I liked. I think he is underrated. I forget to listen to him too.
“Pissing in the Wind”, “The Shining”, “Once Around the Block“, and “Cause a Rockslide” are some of my favourites from the album. It was hard to choose from so many good songs. If you are looking for something a bit more upbeat “Disillusion” should fill that need.
The genius behind Badly Drawn Boy is Damon Gough. He wrote and played almost all the instruments on the album. If you like indie and chamber pop, then give this album a serious listen. I highly recommend it.
