#937 Gotan Project – La Revancha del Tango

Gotan Project released their debut album La Revancha del Tango in 2001. To date the French musical group have only released three albums. The trio consist of Eduardo Makaroff (Argentine), Philippe Cohen Solal (French), and Christoph H. Müller (Swiss).

“Queremos Paz”, “El Capitalismo Foráneo”, and “Tríptico” were the only songs from this album that were interesting for me. If “Santa María (del Buen Ayre)” had not had any vocals at all, I might have liked it.

The idea of nu jazz and electronica sounds entertaining, but I am not a fan of tango. I did not like any of the singing. And my only other problem was the length of the songs. I do not like songs that go on and on. 5/10.

…and i hate writing about myself. It feels awkward.
