#939 The Beta Band – Hot Shots II

The Beta Band sounds really familiar to me. I may have heard them before, but the album Hot Shots II does not ring any bells. I am a fan of electronic and rock so this album might be interesting.

I found this album hard to figure out. It was not terrible, but it was not great at first listen. I had to spend a lot of unnecessary time on it. As I listened to it a third or fourth time some of the songs captured my attention more.

I kind of liked “Squares”, “Dragon”, and “Quiet”.

Overall, it is not an album I would have missed if I never heard it. I added some of the better songs to my list to give them more of a chance. I think these are the kind that grow on you like my friendship. 6/10.
