Beck back to save the day. Guero is Beck’s ninth studio album. It was released in 2005. I am not sure if it is still in the list of 1001 Albums because it states that it was listed. The Dust Brothers produced it alongside Tony Hoffer and Beck. It was return to his sound on Odelay.
My favourite songs are “Missing”, “E-Pro”, “Black Tambourine”, “Broken Drum”, “Scarecrow”, “Emergency Exit”, and “Go It Alone”. Actually, I pretty much liked everything on the album.
Overall, what do you expect? This is Beck. I liked the other two albums on the list, but I liked him before reviewing it. I had this one on MP3. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a Beck fan. As for the genre, it has some Brazilian influences, alternative rock, folk rock, neo-psychedelia, sampledelia and the rest of the kitchen sink. 9.6/10.
