Arctic Monkeys. I have seen them in concert at Red Rocks in Colorado. They were incredible. Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not is their debut album. This album has special meaning for me. I discovered it with my best friend in Hungary. We listened to it a lot.
One of my favourite song is still “Riot Van“. There are two versions of it. I prefer the one not on the album, but it is not on Spotify. I may see if it is elsewhere and post it below. It has a darker feel to it.
My other favourite songs are “Red Light Indicates Doors Are Secured”, “Fake Tales of San Francisco”, “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor”, “Mardy Bum”, “Perhaps Vampires Is a Bit Strong But…”, and “A Certain Romance“.
Overall, I will always love this album. It is the type that makes you remember why you love music. It is the catchiest album in the 2000s. I will think of Tamás whenever I hear Alex Turner‘s infectious English voice. If you like indie rock, post-punk revival, garage rock revival, and punk rock, then this is the album for you. 10/10.
