#1023 The Good, the Bad & the Queen – The Good, the Bad & the Queen

Supergroup The Good, the Bad & the Queen released their self-titled debut album in 20017. The group consist of singer Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, bassist Paul Simonon of the Clash, guitarist Simon Tong of the Verve, and Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen. The album follows the concept theme of modern life in London according to Albarn. I have not listened to this album in years so it will be good to hear it again.

My favourite songs are “80’s Life”, “Northern Whale”, “Three Changes”, and the rest of the album.

Albarn is one of the most talented artist to come from England in the 90s. This is another win for him. He has a knack for choosing the right people to collaborate with. If you like Blur, Gorillaz and art rock, then this is the album for you. This is a great album. 9.2/10.
