My Bloody Valentine are finally back after breaking up in 1997. They have only released three albums and m b v is the third studio and their third on the list of 1001 Albums…. Sadly, the album is not on Spotify so I had to turn to YouTube. I do not remember this album being released, but 2013 was a terrible year for me. I was still living in Lyon, France, but it was a dark time for me. I was not in a good place. In fact, after I left Hungary everything turned dark.
My favourite songs were all of them. I find it harder to tell which songs I like on YouTube, when the whole album is playing straight through. I don’t need to save the songs so I just listen to it while I do something else. I do like the way it ends with “Wonder 2”.
Overall, it is great return for the Dublin based band. I am not sure that I liked it as much as their previous two albums. but I do not have time to give it more listens. My first impression is that is was incredible and I got lost in most of it, but something was missing and I am not sure what it was. 9/10.
