#1061 Chvrches – The Bones of What You Believe

I recognise the band named Chvrches, but I cannot say if I have ever heard their music. I am excited to hear their debut album The Bones of What You Believe  because it is primarily a synth-pop record.

My favourite songs are “The Mother We Share”, “We Sink”, “Gun”, “You Caught the Light”, and every song on the album. I really like it when Martin Doherty, one of the male band members starts singing. It gives me a break from the girlish vocals of Lauren Mayberry.

Overall, this is pure synth-pop ear candy. It is filled with the sounds of the 80s and meshed with today’s music to bring it all home to a new generation. As Hozier sang, “Take me to chvrches.” I love it. 10/10.
